Merc 2.5 troubles. Help!!

My 2.5hp Mercury 4 stroke starts, run for 30 seconds, stutters and stops. I've taken the carb off a cleaned it. The float valve and the main jet are clear. I've change the fuel and bled the lines with the new fuel. The spark plus look clean. It sounds like fuel starvation, but I could be wrong. What else should I look at?

Something wrong with fuel tank filter? Just a thought based on experience with 2 strokes though ?

Fuel cap vent blocked?

Still have a blockage somewhere in the carb.

Found the problem. Week high tension. Closed the spark plug gap (new plug) and it works. I'll try another new plug before looking further. Thanks
