Without going into the reasons why !! my motorboat has been neglected over the last 9 months with virtual nil use and visible weed at the waterline and around outdrive, trim tabs etc. However went out today and found that I could hardly reach 10.5 knots and after time 14 knots instead of the the low/mid 20's that she should be capable of. Could this be due to the state of the hull? The engine appeared fine, not lacking in revs etc. with oil pressure, temperature gauges and the like normal. Incidentally the engine was serviced last year immediately before it was 'mothballed' but it has sat in the marina all winter, but I know it serves me right !! Thanks

Dirty Bottom, /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif things move slower with a dirty bottom /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

After lifting our Rib cleaning and new antifoul speed increased by a good 8 Knots.

Dirty Bottom /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif IMHO
