Last outing

We've still got 3 weeks to go before it happens, then all the posts after the event. I reckon this is gonna hit the 300 pointless posts mark!!

STOP BEING A POOF ( I APOLOGISE IF Y#ARE ONE) COME ON DOWN, WE'RE ALL UP FOR A PARTY AND IT'LL BE GOOD TO MEECHA... SORRY JUST REALISED I'M SHOUTING!

Re: Last outing - the crew

don't rule out Mr Max - that will be2 plus a few kids - moves to Portsmouth for the cheep season and Poole in the summer so may well run over with Col.???
WhiteKnight - some of you met John at Wareham, may, finally, be in the water and running by then and for John it would be a normal weekend - he launches at Rockley and stays over in Dolphin Haven all the time - that's another 2+2 (he's cruising the med at the moment (in a P&O giant!).
Still surprised more Solent based boats haven't said they would love to run over but it depends on the weather...........

Re: Smug Git!

I've got the smug git feeling big time. Filled up the cooling stystem this morning. It leaked in one place, none of my work did though. It was the push fit seal between the header tank and the heat exchanger. Why the hell do volvo use pusg fit seals on the pressurised side of the system. Anyhow, nothing a smear of silicon sealant couldn't sort out. Waited for all that to set, refilled and run the thing up. Didn't loose a drop. So I left the thing running, much to the annoyance of the neighbours, so it would reach running temp and pressure. Still no leaks. Made it run hot deliberatly so the pressure would rise above norm, still no leak. So I think that all in all its......umm......sorted!

A good run under load will give it the best test, so a day off during the week is on the cards.

Re: Smug Git!

I knoe this is going to pee a few people off, but I phoned Dolphin Haven today after recieving stuff from Aztec, cheers Steve, and I was told, and I quote. " Hello my luverlee, oohh noo, 'ell be fyne. The muriner see, 'eel be emp'y coz onna count of it beein' win'er see. So yule be alri'e as 'e emptee. Jus' mure yp, an' if 'e ain' aboot, yule fine thee cod' on thee .******. Ok me deer, see yer then, then"

So when I got out the Darzet - English, English - Darzet Dictionary out. It basically translated to, "Hello my good man. On no my dear chap, you won't be reqiured to pr book, we are totally empty you see. So just toodle along and moor the old girl where ever you like. If we've buggered orf for swift noggin in the local tavern, the code for the jo;;y old gate is in the ******. Ok ta ta, see you late Old bean>

Got that, Nopr neither did I, So I'm back off down the pub where everything makes sence when see through the bottom of a beer glass, TA TA.

Well, Redcliffe won't let me launch there, not a prob loads of other places to launch, Ridge Wharf next best place. Its a culmination of work, family and sick mother. I'll see if I can get something sorted to cover 2 and 3, 1 won't go away and irate customers are not the best thing to wake up too on a monday morn!

Still couple of weeks before it happens but it looks very unlikely at the moment.

Redcliffe Slip should be open 24/7... cant remember a gate to keep you out ..... should have few boats in the water at this time of year..... sod work, bring family, help mother to get better ...... We all send her our best wishes !!!
