I think I've had my last outing for the year, had a little run round to Swanage, yesterday. Quite a pleasant day, smooth sea, hardly another boat moving. Bit chilly when moving at speed, could have done with some of Byron's meatballs(???) and peas pudding.

Time to tuck the old tub up for the winter now. How will I get by?

you should be so lucky... i'm still building mine!

managed to pick up a rather nice little inflatable, to use throughout the winter, and a rather nice little old bloke to make me a new wheelhouse roof and other bits... got to be ready for may, see!

have a good winter but spare a thought for little old me... freezing to bloody death in the bilges.
 
No don't put it tuck it up, take it out. I'll be down there well into december. Best time to go out. You've got the whole place to yourself. So if your down there in early december we'll have a bash round to the Bankes or along to the kings in weymouth. I'm pretty sure duncan can have his arm twisted and if steve ever smuggles those engines out of the company trucks, I'll reckon that a small promise of a pint, he'll be there as well!
 
Lucky You. I have been on hardstand for 5 Days now. Winterised the engines, cleaned the hull & removed all soft stuff today. (covered half the yard with antifreeze)

I already feel like a freak on a leash without my boat.

cannot wait till march 20th 2003.

So thats you, me, geoffs, duncan and leytonc. I'll have my boat, I know duncan will still have his boat in and if we can persaude geoffs just to sevice and not mothball, he'll have his. Now all we need to do is get jonbailey and brendans and the rest of the Christchurch nutters to come along. So whats the plan then just a "small" drink like last time, or do we really go for it!

Aye, Poole's ok. You up for it then. According to steve we're gonna make a real session of it this time. Duncans gonna do more acrobatics of the quay into the boat while we drink the Mountgay! Where we gonna meet up and do you rackon dolphin haven will give us "club" rates if we all have a flaggy thing from haydn.

Poole would be excellent. there is a place on the town quay that does all you eat meals from 12:00 to 14:00 for £3:50!! (I think its called 'town quay', for
you locals, it has a fish tank column behind the bar)

So now were talking 13/14 december. Ok so we'll call it the crimbo cruise! But I've just been told by "her indoors" sitting on the settee that we'll be going to some poncy do where I'll have to wear a DJ and dikkie bow!
