There's also Lybster http://www.ports.org.uk/port.asp?id=579

and JOG http://www.ports.org.uk/port.asp?id=537

There are a few others some look a bit interesting / difficult to get into http://www.ports.org.uk/area.asp?area=54

I would have thought you would have been using that site a lot to seek out all the known harbours along the way to explore. and I'm sure in due course you will explore them all.

excellent

someof those look wonderful

as I have newgees on board I thought that the first day we should have a shortish sail and a place with a walk on pontoon so that the young people can get used to life aboard. They can dissapear to a bar to get away from us

Cromarty sounds like a good bet for a first short sail:
http://www.cromartyharbour.org/

It's a fantastic little place to walk around too.

Not much room in the harbour, you will have to raft up with someone. Great pub right by the harbour.

That site is a bit out of date, there's now a pontoon down the middle of the harbour. Better pictures here http://www.ports.org.uk/port.asp?id=590

Balintore is another possibility, but again talk to hte harbourmaster first, you will probably have to raft up again. Not many of these harbours keep spare "visitor berths" http://www.ports.org.uk/port.asp?id=586

Stay down south where it is safe & you don't need to lean on walls or fall over.

You needn't start that, you are on trouble now. Once Dylan has posted his videos you won't be able to keep anything secret anymore. Soon Dylan will be able to charge resorts for him to visit them! After all it works for the Clipper Race.

Fine, come & visit us in N Wales where most harbours dry out, sandbanks move regularly & are seldom surveyed accurately & a wall to lean on when the 36' tide ebbs is a luxury. There are many good reason why I think twin keels are the bee's knees for my chosen cruising area.

On the other hand, you'll be fine on the Scottish Western Island's coast where the waters are generally deeper, tides are around 10' and the hazards are rocks which are mostly charted & move somewhat slower.
