Blue gunwhale channel on my Hardy had faded badly and pride demanded a solution. After seeing a couple of articles including one in the Hardy Owners Club magazine I decided to investigate vinyl wrapping as an alternative to a repaint and decided to go for it.
Finally got a break with the weather and job was done yesterday.

Job was done with the boat in the water and just leccy needed for a hot air gun. Result is impressive so I now need to give the rest of the hull a good clean and the fenders may need to go - does anyone know if there is a special paint that will work on the plastic?

Well impressed with Olly's workmanship who came up from Hamble to do the job - hoped to do it in an 8 hour day but the curves and recesses took a little longer so it was 10 hours overall. Cost around £550 all in.

That looks impressive. I have thought about having my hull done but am concerned about wear on the vinyl from locks and fenders. Has anyone else had this done on their Thames based boat and can comment?
