Hi All , A point of information that may be useful.
We had an issue with our in mast furling . At the start of the season the top swivel sleeve to which the main Halyard is attached and to which the head of the Mainsail would be attached to hoist the Mainsail would not go up the The foil.
It transpired that moisture had gathered within the base of the foil , froze , and expanded .
Eventually managed , using a 1ton pot jack to force the swivel sleeve past the point of expansion
This would not have occurred if a small drill hole had been made at the bottom of the foil
