Forgive me if this doesn`t work it`s the first one I`ve done. I know it`s not really boaty apart from the beach but it `s quite spectacular none the less

St Maarten??

I know they come in low, but there's a whiff of Photoshop about that one (for a start, the people should be ducking)

No photoshop -they don`t duck as they`re used to almost every landing this low -- or possibly lower as you can see on the you tube post.

I remember watching in amazement as the group of 50 something ex pilots we had been cruising with lined up to hang on to the wire fence just behind where these planes take off in LSt Maarten! As the pilot of the KLM 747 gunned the engine they all left the ground hanging on for grim death with the biggest grins I have ever seen spread across their faces!!!
Looked like a string of particularly grubby washing.

Re: can you go lower ?

Kai Tak in Hong Kong was very similar until they lopped the top off a mountain on the approach path.

Now for a real low and dirty, in around 1960, a Hawker Hunter jet flew between the decks of Tower Bridge. The pilot left Her Majesty's service shortly after . . . but he's still alive. A rare example of that genus; old, bold pilots.
