I can't see how a marina could realistically refuse to do so if all other usual forms of accommodation are going to be open. Legally speaking, I am expecting the law not to stay away from home overnight to disappear in its entirity. That would leave marinas (and more importantly, harbour masters) without any legal basis to stay closed to visitors. Of course, a Harbour Master is practically God in his own dominion, but it would seem perverse to stay closed to visitors following the 4th.

Can't wait personally. Boat is back in the water and raring to go. I've booked my holiday from work already.

I agree and cant see how Solent marinas and harbours such as Yarmouth, Cowes etc have any excuse to refuse entry to visiting yachts from 4th July. Don't expect common facilities such as shower blocks etc to be used though and remember to take your own water hose. Electrical hook up for your own leads etc should not be a problem and progressive marinas will probably have hand sanitising facilities at gates.... I wait with interest announcements from port authorities and marinas in due course. I am also in the water and ready to go........

To caravan sites Boris said they can open provided the shared facilities are kept clean. So I would assume marinas will be treated the same, although you know what they say about assuming things. Somewhere like Yarmouth must be fairly reliant on visitor income so hopefully be keen to embrace the changes.

There was some noise about not allowing rafting up, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Nothing says 'clean' like washing your armpits and underpants in the sink. Facility closures seem to be a bit arbitrary, MDL have gone to town but other marinas a lot less over the top. And they have not replaced the now empty hand sanitiser bottles.
