Hi all trying to change profile.

I'm trying to change my profile name to PirateMark which is my face book name, I have struggled to find away of doing it so I set up a new account with the name I want, is there any way my old status and details can get swapped over to my new account name, or is it easier to lose all my previous threads and start from new again.

The easy way to do this just to get your user name changed - there's a thread about this in the website feedback forum.

when I emailed admin for a name change from virtuvas to vas, I think it took something like 6weeks... I guess it's low priority so not something they'll do anyday. But as JTRB says, you get to keep your post count and all friends or whatever you have.

I am still classed as a newbie as i only joined in 2011, so im happy to start a fresh, just waiting for me account to be given the all clear as they say, hopefully that will be today.

I had the same problem when I changed my name from Steve to Stephanie.

In my case the tattoos were definitely an issue so think carefully.

I think as you have opened a new profile with the name that you want you won't be able to change the name on the old profile as the name is already taken!
