Hello ybw'ers,
I 've been lurking for some time here and I am very new to sailing (I have done a two out of my three Competent Crew weekends) but I am really keen to learn and have enjoyed every moment of it so far!
As I said, my sailing experience is limited but I understand the "textbook" basics about tides and planning (I knew that my maths would come in handy at some points in my life!)
I am based in Poole (most of the time) and I was wondering if any of you could help?
Can anyone recommend a club in or around Poole that has a cruiser bias and a friendly membership willing to teach a new sailor? Alternatively, are there any of you looking for crew for the odd sail and have the patience to show me the ropes (sorry for the pun)? I m a nice bloke and of course I ll cover any costs necessary
Many thanks
Dimi
