Seen a pair cheap on one of the online chandlers, and on Ebay (ST40s) but don't like the ridiculously prominent branding. Have Harken always done this?

And - how good are they compared to Lewmar or Antal?

THey are ok, although the chome plating doesn't seem to last as well as Lewmar.

If you're after some, I have a pair of virtually new chrome Lewmar EVO 40s that you can hace for £1500 the pair. They are too small for my boat.

I've got the electric version on my boat. They are very easy to service and have given no trouble. Support for spares in the UK is excellent.

When they are not covered in rope that hides the logo, I use plain covers bought from Ebay :)20240605_175432.jpg

Cheap Harken st winches on eBay and your worried about the branding. Blink and they will be gone.

Are the Harken St40s the same as 'size' Lewmar Evo 40s? I mean are they compatible in gearing etc.?
