Hi
No you need a permit to launch when you go to the Port Police they ask you for your papers if you do not have the nessasary papers they then issue them It was 10,00drk and x drk per mt of boat lenght, I have a 13.5mt boat and it cost me about £70 intotal three weeks ago. This is for the crusing permit as well you then have to report to the port police every time you park up in harbour and leave you then tell them where you intend going next . If you anckor off no charge is made hope this helps Bob t
As rtboss 1 says,If your vessel is EU flagged then you have to pay to get permission to launch, about £5,You then need permission to sail in Greek waters ,rivate PleasureYacht Permission to Stay and maritime Traffic Document: About 7 Euro per metre valid for 3 Years.provided you have proof of stay in Greek waters for at least a year,Yard bills Etc.You also have to get the Depka form which has 50 spaces for stamping in harbours visited.:Maritime Traffic Document.:
This doesnt have a time limit (I think) but costs about 34Euro (1000Drs in old money) this is to catch out the charter yachts im told.
Have your 3rd party Insurance (in Greek).ICC,Ships Papers, Vat, Radio Licence and copy of Passport. If you can get the yard where you are laid up to help,so much the better,It will be a cousin of the yard manager without doubt you are dealing with.
Good luck,
Hi I have just arrived back from Greece after sailing the Cyclades for Two months. In that time only once ,did the Port Police stamp my crusing log .And I was only charged a total of 22euro for harbour fees And that was in Poros where the police now do not collect but have put it out to a private person ( he most likley puts it in his back pocket]so in all about £13 for two month sailing SOD the Solent
