GPS problems next year ?

Relax, this happens every 11 years and Armageddon hasn't yet ocurred

It is a problem in certain geographic areas where it also disrupts the predicted ionospheric models. We can get round this by using dual-frequency receivers but they are a bit expensive for the everage yottie

You won't see many problems up here in our latitudes, it's more prevalent in equitorial regions. We did see some problems with the ionospheric models and had to go to dual-frequency receivers in some areas

As this happens every 11 years and the next time is 2011 can anyone remember any problems in 2000? I can't!

Maybe it was overshadowed by Millenium Doom!

Don't worry about the solar sun, it's the son of Shrub senior that's more likely to affect GPS - "W"

At which time a lot of folk, including me, will be facing the prospect of consuming their own hats, sans ketchup. A lot of commercial ships and aircraft will get lost and writs will fly like flocks of starlings.
