Getting the boat in the water.

I have a problem in that my local Yacht club has suffered a mechanical breakdown of its boat moving kit. As a result my Yacht is marooned on the land. The boat weighs about 5,000 kg. Is anyone aware of a cost effective solution to get in to the water.

What boat, what type of slip, what keel configuration ?

Moody 31 BK. the slipway has a gradient of about 1 in 10. One consideration is getting a transport company to move it a few miles to a nearby marina boat lift.

Yes, I was going to say lorry with Hiab, if that suits; the boat might be a bit big though ?

Is the club hoist likely to be out of action for that long ? We have a Wise tractor-driven 10 ton hydraulic hoist, the backup seems pretty good when there's a problem - which is not usually anything much.
