Well you do have the sun! And actually on the boat my fridge is bigger than on dry land (top opening etc).
I had a similar situation last year and it turned out to be kicking the can down the road as I then spent all summer unable to get another and somewhat spoiled our summer cruise. Now with FloGas who will fill a bottle at their depots or deliver to my door.Well I got a 4.5kg Calor butane bottle exchanged today. £23.15 and it was the second last one in the store.
Which means that there is one more going at Liphook services on the A3, southbound side. Good luck!
Has anyone with a 907 tried replacing (or at least carrying as a spare) with anything like this: CADAC Trio Power Pak (370-UK) 6001773116107 | eBay
would need changed more often, and generate a lot of rubbish but those little cylinders are widely available and typically <£2 each which is less than half the price of proper camping gaz cylinders. I think it would fit in my gas locker. Do those cylinders need to be horizontal?
That’s 2.73 kg gas for £45.99Had the same problem with Gaz 907. Chandlers couldn’t get it, found it at a camping site eventually. Highest price so far £45.99
Here in the Algarve there are several petrol stations which sell vehicle gas that will nudge nudge wink wink, fill most gas bottles. Cheap as chips at car gas prices. Having said that I changed two 907 s last year for €18 eachThat’s 2.73 kg gas for £45.99
We’ve changed to Gaslo refillable cylinders.
I filled two 14.5 litre cylinders today at a local garage in Lanzarote for €17.48. That’s over three times the amount of gas in a 907 cylinder for less than €9. In other words we bought £45 of 907 gas for €3 if I’ve got my sums right!
The downside is that Gaslo cylinders are £208 each!
Would they fill Calor cylinders? That’s 2.73 kg gas for £45.99

Officially they’ll only fill cylinders with a certificate. One could always chance your arm and ask I guess.Would they fill Calor cylinders?
I’ve just bought the last one from my local chandlery. They found it hiding behind a load of empties!Well I got a 4.5kg Calor butane bottle exchanged today. £23.15 and it was the second last one in the store.

At least filling our cylinders is as safe as it can be. There’s a float system and cut off valve that prevents the cylinder being filled more than 80% capacity. None of the guessing/weighing…It isn't difficult (though perhaps not legal?) nor does it require much equipment to decant LPG from one (preferably bigger) gas cylinder into another one.
Went up to €26 for 10Kg little while ago then back to about €22. Moroccan gas the guy said, definite "NO!!!" when I asked if he'd fill a russian car ?Here in the Algarve there are several petrol stations which sell vehicle gas that will nudge nudge wink wink, fill most gas bottles. Someone told me that a nearby camping site has plenty so you have to ring around.
It's what we been doing lately , roughly we filling 4x 907 bottles for the cost of exchanging one bottle. It isn't difficult (though perhaps not legal?) nor does it require much equipment to decant LPG from one (preferably bigger) gas cylinder into another one.
No. We’re now in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. We filled our bottles (see above) in Lanzarote. Are you still in Morocco? That's where we got our initial decanting gear; two none pressure regulating taps, 5m of tubing, some jubilee clips, a spring balance and a full 15-20kg local bottle including the deposit, all for less cost (about £10) and the week's wait of a Camping Gaz refill
