YM or PBO did an article a while back. We bought our boat (charter management, not fraction) via Yacht Fractions in Falmouth might want to visit the website

Hi - Thanks I had a look at the website, did you do the sums to compare with other offerings - I was looking at Sailtime. What was it that made you go with this option ?

We wanted our boat to be based in the Med or Adriatic, so needed a supplier with good cover in that area. In the end choice came down to Sunsail or Kiriacoulis, and it would appear that Kiriacoulis seems to attract a different kind of charterer.
(Prepares to be shot down in flames, as forumites report bad behaviour from Kiriacoulis boats)

SailTime is a very expensive route to having an interest in a small fraction of a yacht. It is a short-term low-risk convenience that does not make sense beyond two years.

Just be careful to check out the boat as if you were buying the whole thing e.g. vat status, title etc AND your prospective partners. I had problems.
