Hello,
I was casually looking at a few things and tools I have on the boat and I realised I bought several of them over the years after having read discussions here on the Forum, other people's discussions about what they found useful on their boats which I did not need, at least at the moment. Some of these things have then been useful, some other ones I am more and more convinced are maybe alternative ways to something that can be done without specialised equipment.
A tiny foldable socket drive (nice and shiny but never needed to use it), automatic pliers to strip electrical wire (one of the best), that spiral brush to clean ropes works well (they should make on for boaters' rope diameters, larger than 12mm); I spent hours to make those flat pliers to remove the impeller but I still keep on using the two screwdrivers; ratchet pliers to twist wire without ever needing to twist wire; I bought a Dremel but years have passed and I basically never used it; oh Wago connectors are great :)
Your nice/useless discoveries from past threads?

Now you know why "influencers" (and all those who are functional influencers without realising it because they talk about things they have bought) are attractive partners for advertising agencies. They add more credibility than advertising itself because unpaid influencers like you and me are mostly pretty honest. This explains why paid influencers have an interest in coming forward as unpaid, almost exclusively on social media, U2be and the likes.

Adverts have been scored as super annoying by people for years, but they keep getting easier and cheaper to buy, so the show goes on.
