Folkboat trailer

I am in the throes of buying a 1970 'Husbands' folkboat (mahogany on oak) and am desperate to find a trailer, not only for the initial transport but also for winter lay-ups at home. A couple of questions are on my mind:

Am I right in believing that it weighs around 2½ tonnes?
Finding a suitable 'pre-loved' trailer is proving difficult, does anyone have experience of a good value source of new trailers?

Yes, you are about right, a Folkboat weighs around 4,300 lb - probably a little more allowing for gear, water absorbtion etc -say 4,800 lb.
