I would agree that the area between Tampa and Naples has so much to see this is the area I would look at. As has been outlined a number of these sorts of properties around Cape Coral area.

We chartered in 2012 & 2013 and loved this area

Excellent! Thanks for posting this - I remember reading them at the time and thinking we must do that at some point. Now we have downsized on our own boat with a view to sailing in the Med for holidays or chartering elsewhere I had tried to find the old posts but the vagaries of the search tool defeated me on the first try. This is now a top contender for next year
