Be careful what you report. Ponsharden boatyard is technically the other side. I haven’t been up there but the limited reporting suggests that is more likely the Cockwells side (but not necessarily a Cockwells building).
“Firefighters were called to Ponsharden at just after midnight this morning after Critical Control received a call at 00:08 for a fire in a commercial building.
The fire was in a building behind the old Vospers site, not in Ponsharden Boatyard as earlier reported by the police.
Roads were initially shut to allow emergency services to work at the scene, although have since reopened.”
The fire was in the old Vospers garage buildings across the main road from the waterfront premises, now used by Cockwells for moulding work, and storage of moulds. GRP resins burn very well. Fire crews still there.
