Assume we are talking about Bruce's Boat Yard?

Never heard it referred to as a marina before.[/Q

Yes Bruce's Yard but the marina in question as in the OP post is the marina in the town. On maps it is named as Faro Marina but locally it is called & signposted as the Doca de Recreio. Or something like that lol.

Is Bruce still digging a big hole to the west of his hard standing to make a marina?

Work seems to have stopped on the excavation, he's having fun playing with the dredger. Planning permission was refused again for a marina ( he refused to grease the necessary palms) but he has got permission for "wet storage":)

Problem is, every time Bruce dreams up some new scheme we know the yard fees are going up again to pay for it:)
Yeah that may be correct Graham, but its still blinkin cheap. Less than 6 quid a day all in for a 12M boat gets a big thumbs up from me lol. The yard this winter is nearly full BTW.

Brits tend to refer to anything with pontoons as a marina even if there is no provision for visitors and no reception - Olhão is the same and as you say it is officially a pleasure boat harbour and all the berths are fully occupied.
