Does anyone know if I can buy an electric plug in timer to switch off a charger after a preset period. I have just cooked another battery in the workshop and I also keep doing it with dry cell rechargables (ccoking them )
Buya charger with a sensor which turns itself off when battery is @ 100%. It turns itself back on when battery goes down to 85%. I have one fitted in my boat.
Surely any plug in timer will do this. Just set the start and stop time and it does exactly what it says on the tin. About a fiver from Woolies or Do it All etc. Can't see the problem, or am I missing something?
errrr yep! it turns itself off, and then on again, and about a couple of weeks later I realise that whatever it was that I had on charge is about dead. Self regulating chargers don't help with dry cells.
Ah but those bits that are missing, she's worn away. Whereas I hear that in the winds you've got down there at the moment, yours are likelt to be blown away.
Yup it's pretty windy, already been out in the garden with the chainsaw, half a tree fell down. Supposed to be down at Exmouth tonite for a talk but decided not to go, too much hassle.
Now I know they're bit thick down your way so which half? Top or bottom?
Yeah a bit blowy here too, but not as bad as you've got according to TV News.
Also I'm allowed to talk without going out. Wife upset eh so not letting you get a word in edgeways? Why what you done? Too much time "playing with that bloody computer"?
