Humm well, cannot really comment upon Dylan's video productions, re picture quality, content, advertising or not advertising quandary, subsidized or not?, but I will, with some TV Production Staff Training experience plus 'hands on' knowledge from working in TV for many years, say that -
There is a definite dividing line when presenting a programme between ones personality, personal views, personal likes, personal dislikes and the actual production content.
In modern TV its quite usual (even common) for presenters to state their opinions about or on a subject, mostly when their stated opinions are based upon little qualification, experience or gained information. This can and does effect the Programme quality, credence, TV channel creditably, therefore lessen any real value in the Programme.
Might suggest that sometimes or occasionally the personal comments from a characterful presenter can actually 'make the programme', whereas other times it certainly does not.
With KTL perhaps its a personal viewing preference decision on whether the programmes 'work or not' for each of us, so its not a attempt to be accepted by a 'broad church'
