There used to be.... I used to use the english version of www.botenbank.nl, but it dissapeared a good while back. Still wortha browse though.
www.yachtselect.nl has an english version & is the online version of the dutch HIWSA magazine (association of Dutch yacht brokers) - they will send you a paper copy if you ask.
also try www.botentekoop.nl if you havnt seen it already.

ps. I bought my boat through a private sale, but both buyer & myself agreed to use a broker to do the transaction... I'd recommend this as it made it painless enough (Broker spoke good english and helped with transport, crane, short-term storage etc.) & offers a level of security.

There is no equivalent or translation of the botenbank. However most boats are also advertised at www.botentekoop.nl and this stuff also pops up at sites like www.boats.com. This means you will miss very few boats on sale by brokers unless they are fairly small boats, not likely to be sold abroad. Don't think my fellow countrymen are not aware of potential customers abroad. Internet advertisement is very internatonal.
Are you looking for something specific ? Maybe I can be of some help?

Thanks all for your replies. I'm asking on behalf of a friend who wants a Fin keel 30ft Sloop for about £20,000. Has been looking at Konsort, Verl and Hunter. Ted.

If he is serious about buying in Holland, I would recommend taking a short holiday 3-4 days to view boats in Holland. Car Hire is reasonably cheap, and flights can be had cheaply too.

I did my internet research before going, marked the main brokers on the map, printed out my shortlist and made calls to arrange rough times viewings before leaving (just date am/pm - you cant predict times in advance).

For some reason, most of my shortlist included privately owned boats which were spaced apart - I ended up rushing between them, and taking in local Brokers wherever possible. If I was doing it again, I would keep the privateowned list to a minimum, and place more emphasis on visiting brokers as you can see more boats in a shorter space of time. Check out HISWA brokers on www.yachtselect.nl.

One local Dutch boat that might be worth looking at in that size range was the Friendship 28 which seems solid, keeps well and was priced in the €23,000-25,000 range. Late seventies to mid eighties, looks a bit like a Dufour 2800 but feels more solid.
As you are probably aware UK designed boats are often priced less in Holland than in the UK where they are more poular, and in general they do seem to look after them well.
