There are regularly Drascombes at Craobh Marina being launched and an annual rally. You see them often out sailing on the West Coast, tough, capable boats.

The very last sentence in the video could have come from the Scottish comedy series, Chewing the Fat! :)

😍
I met three coasting Drascomes on the East Coast this year. All from Holland.
I asked them what kind of a crossing they had. It was a few weeks back when we had winter weather but with light evenings.

They said it was both great and comfortable . They has taken the Ferry from the Hook Of Holland to Harwich.

Finding a safe place to leave a car and trailer could be the biggest problem

Yes. Can be expensive to leave trailers in marinas . I don't know where they left theirs. They did say that they had cruised Scottish waters before. I'm guessing they must have taken the ferry from Holland to Newcastle as a starting point. Not a bad format for small boat cruising.
