Dolphins

We have been lucky to see some dolphins on our recent trip. Been boating for over 45 years, only seen some in the last 3 years and always only got a picture of a splash, or if lucky a fin.

We are going down at the end of the month. A sighting like this would make our year!

In the 6 years we have been on the south coast the only marine life we have seen is about 3 seals. Apart from the overcrowded Solent everything else is positive (apart from paying to anchor which is unheard of in the north) compared to the Wales and the NW. In Wales/IOM/Eire we saw many dolphins every year, porpoises a few sharks and the odd whale. Even in Scilly last year there was nothing.

There's a video just gone up on youtube of dolphins near Salcombe.

We've spotted them around Start Point a couple of times. It's always a special experience.
