Well I woke up from my Christmas Hibernation this morning, put £2 on my broadband dongle, to read all of this!

As the OP and others hold office at the Bray Cruiser Club, which is I think affiliated to the ATYC. And as the ATYC was looking for volunteers for their committee last year (probably still are).
Will we see the Bray Cruiser Club sever its association with ATYC, or the OP on the ATYC committee?

Doubtful. Why would Bray Cruiser Club sever its membership of ATYC?

Democratic organisations allow discussion of policy and dissent.

Also, and perhaps it has not always been obvious, opinions aired on here are the opinions of individuals who do not speak for the club unless a) the statement has been approved by the BCC committee and b) it contains a statement to that effect..

Hi Nash, hope you're well, and welcome back!

No, I'm speaking personally about my views on recent ATYC thugees behaviour towards other highly respected forumites, and other boat associations.

I'm also a little suspicious about the selection procedure for the Queens Jubilee flotilla, which clearly announced ATYC hierarchy boats acceptance months before everybody else was notified, which is obviously another matter...

In no way does this have anything to do with Bray CC or any other member as far as I'm concerned. :)

I've absolutely no reason to doubt you and I've been here long enough to know that your opinions are indeed entirely and sometimes uniquely your own but I could see how some readers may get an entirely contrary impression from the fact that your posts are signed off as editor/rear commodore BCC.

Jus' sayin' :)

They're not 'signed off' per se, it's my default siggy, and every post is the same!

The whole point IMHO is that I don't post anonymously...

Bear in mind I have never mentioned BCC in any thread or post. Sorry if you got that idea despite this ! ;)

I agree and maybe a lot of the lurkers to this thread would also agree that the connection between you and Bray Cruiser club is more than tenuous.
Nobody likes to see open abuse and the posting of pictures of cockerels as replies "per say"

It's funny how two non-contributing forumites have suddenly taken an interest in something isn't it? Rather like Louis Jankel and Gerbil Todger appeared out of nowhere to attack regular contributors.

Never mind the implications from these two, question why they are here at all? I'm not an MP, just somebody who contributes a lot of personal time and money to supply Bray members with a beautifully made Magazine at no charge, and has been voted into another unpaid position which involves work and responsibility to ensure Bray members have quality events to attend. Neither are a position of power or authority.

I'm quite entitled to voice my opinions, and equally to include these facts on my forum signature, based on the fact I post rather a lot, and across many subjects.

Neither of the two Lurkers above can claim anything other than the fact they hadn't posted anything for over a year before the above contributions.

So is this a warning to occasional or anonymous posters on this forum ?

It's not very smart to try and discredit regular contributors with one's first post is it? :D

The point is, this is a community, even if it's only a virtual one, and regular posters will understand different peoples persona and foibles, even sometimes their point of view.

In the case of this thread, I'm unhappy about several aspects with reference to the ATYC leadership, and have voiced my opinions.

Instead of debating my comments, the ATYC henchmen have tried to discredit me, and failed on the basis they came to a gunfight armed with a Banana.

You too appear to be approaching things on a similar line of attack, which leads me to believe you are also ATYC connected.

None of these people come back to discuss things properly, they just seem to slink off, presumably to report back to Sir Mick.

I repeat: The whole thing STINKS. Anybody want to discuss my points on behalf of the ATYC in an open and honest manner?

Could you list your points please for all the lurkers to see them in one place, and perhaps the rest of the lurkers may wish to make their points in an open and non confrontational forum.?

For those who are unfamiliar with the forum mechanics, if you click on a user's name you will get the option to view all posts by that user.

This avoids the tedium of having to re-post past posts.....

So you're not going to answer my direct response to your last post then, and remain completely anonymous?

You need to make your mind up whether you want to enter into the spirit of things, or not, or perhaps people might think you have something to hide?
