Has anyone got a v cheap up to 10' dinghy close to Newhaven that they are willing to sell?

Ideally I'd like to get a sailing dinghy similar to a mirror for my two rumbustious sons to go learn. I'd also like to be able to row it and eventually stick an old seagull on it.

Better still would be a road trailer to save hoicking it onto the roof of my old, but incredibly tall Range Rover.

I have a budget of up to £150.

Thanks

Every winter our boatyard (Hayling Yacht Co., probably a bit far for you) asks people to identify their tenders, and removes the others, which are sold with profits donated to the RNLI. There's nearly always at least one. Its not a big yard and it amazes me how many dinghies just get abandoned, tho' many are wrecks. If you get no replies I'd recommend ringing around the yards nearest you, starting with the scruffiest.

There is an Avon Redcrest on Boats and Outboards for sale at £150 with the Outboard Bracket. You can't sail it but it would be a superb tender as it folds into a relativly small bag. Plus Avon's are unbreakable (well nearly) It is definitely worth £150.

Thanks Guys

I've now 'landed' a 10' grp clinker style tender that's sailable for only £75! at that price it needs a little work and I'm spending another £50 - but what a bargain!
