Learn't something interesting today in one of my units. did you know that Brighton has got no water! they have to have it specially shipped in from other places, and shipping it in is so much cheaper than trying to purify the sea.

No I didn't know that! Nice to see you're back!! But I have to ship all my water in! That will end next year! I've bought a water maker, so now I'll be able to shower twice a month!

At the missus suggestion moved to Hove 4 years ago and about a week after moving in received a letter from B&H Council. Basically they were suggesting I was responsible for fouling the beach!

I spoke to the clearly gay chap in the relevant office (you know, after spending a fortnight on hold being transferred to the right dept) who explained that as they have separate drain systems for rainwater and sewage the previous residents must have connected the domestic waste to the wrong drains and blocked them.

First bank holiday weekend I was out there rodding the drains- I can't recall if the council chap had suggested 'rodding the passages' after a 'blocked outlet' or I'd caught the 'tail-end' of his previous conversation....

Loads of Gays at councils they get jobs there to meet others so I've been told.
