Hi All,

Can you please suggest where I can get a cheap de-humidifier that will allow me to drain the excess moisture through the sink rather than a tank?

Many Thanks

Nick

A large and well know DIY retailer is currently offering a very serviceable machine for £75 ish. Alternatively you can go the second hand option, I bought a decent ebac unit off Loot.com for £25 last month.

I suggest that you take a look at the latest (December) PBO magazine which runs a pretty comprehensive test on de-humidifyers and advises on best options.

Good luck!

rgds,
Al

Got one from B&Q a week or so ago. They have one at around 80 quid and another at just over a 100 quid - I went for the cheaper, more compact version. Just take a cap off the back and stick a piece of hose on and permanant drainage achieved!

Bought my £80 B & Q one this year and put some 8ml or was it 6ml pipe on the back and into the sink, and it is working really well along with 1 x 120w tube heater. Boat dry and warmish too.

Most will have an attachment on the drip tray that allows you to do this.
I connected a lenth of hosepipe to my Ebac.

Bought them three years back and can't remember now. Sorry. They are available for around £20 from various places and mail order too. Roy
