Where to go for the cheapest standing rigging on the south coast?
Me to. All done at anchor apart from the forestay. We took each wire to the shore.Last time I replaced my rigging, I did one stay at a time with the mast up. But I would describe myself as reasonably handy.
Deffo. Bought mine from them last year - 31ft twin spreader rig: £800 including a peculiar plastic covered forestay.I've never been able to beat Z-Spars, mail order rigging.
finding a location to remove the mast is your first task. While as others say there are good sources for making up stays to pattern, if you are not DIY then find a rigger who works from a yard that has its own crane facilities as hiring in a crane is very expensive. The Solent is a big area and there are many riggers. Where are you moored? and what is the boat?I’m not very handy! The mast also needs to come out for work. But I will look into it. Thx.

You're just trying to butter me up so that I'll crawl in to another inaccessible corner of your boatI would describe you as very handy.
Not used them for rigging but I did for chain and shackles etc - they operate primarily in the lifting world and thus everything is legally regulated etc (cranes overhead in a built up area have as you'd expect a lot of regs) and they seemed very knowledgable and everything I have bought was as described and with correct MBL etc so I would expect them to be as good with making wrestling rigging - after all they ill have no idea if its on a boat or a crane or a stage and their liability will be huge..Also looking for reasonable rigging quotes, I'm based in the North East so much less local choice, but I am happy to use mail order.
Has anyone used GS Products to have rigging made up? Seems exceptionally cheap.
Sent an enquiry to Z-Spars
