I passed 4 new boats coming up the M3 and round the M25 yesterday afternoon. Are they building up LIBS already?

There's ben a lot of rain recently, and flooded roads give an ideal opportunity for commuters to sail into town, stay on board during the week, and sail home on fridays. No clamping, no car tax, fast enough for rush hour and avoids the forthcoming congestion charge.

Good Point.

I think I'll ask HM Govt for a transport subsidy to help me offset the losses I'm bound to incurr operating a commuter service on this basis. £58m should just about do it.

What does Jeremy F. mean by 'already'? Boats and stands certainly go into the exhibition all during December. Remember the Christmas and NY hol bites out a couple of weeks (although many work during it). Planning, applications and so on by exhibitors began in about July.

Two Jag\'s bus lane

As Prescott's M4 bus lane is totally underused, perhaps they could divert the Grand Union, and make the outside lane a Boat Lane. Would need to have double red lines painted on each side of the new canal so big fines could be raised if anyone moored up for 10 minutes. It would be magic to sail by whilst car commuters were stuck on the inside lanes!
