What is it about firms of couriers or indeed the people that use em', that make them bull**** so much. All week I have been chasing for delivery of vital packages in both Spain & UK simultaneously. These are required to complete the coding equipment, ready for Mondays survey. Vital

The engine room extinguishers were due to arrive last week, each day since last Weds I've been told, either "they couldnt find you" or then are arriving today,
At last at the 11th hour as it were they arrived today, but I had to ring THEM every day, to get the result

Then good old Compass24, I order VHF and HBC last Sat for delivery to an address in UK, ready to come out on a plane with a friend on Monday next. I tell them that and as they say delivery 4-5 days I naturally opt for the extra £10 to get them there in 24hrs. So should have arrived last Monday/Tues.

I ring them Weds as they had not arrived, "we'll refund your £10" they say, no look your missing the point says I you can keep the frigging £10 as long as they are there by Fri (today) ready to fly Monday. Do you think they have arrived? have they heck. So Compass24 are as bad as the Spanish couriers, Crap Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

The general rule of thumb is -

If you need it by that date, it'll be late. If it's not urgent, it'll be there tomorrow.


I recently ordered some kit from the US. The same day I ordered something from a UK mailorder chandlery. The stuff from the US arrived two days earlier than from the UK chandlery (and it was in stock too), plus they charged less carriage.

Many more telephone calls to Compasre24 today from Spain costing me money, package still not arrived. "we cant get hold of the securicor courier driver" they say errr, how many million mobile phones in use in the UK, sheet even 90% of school kids have them..........dont tell me a courier driver hasnt got a mobile?

The package , which I need for mondays coding survey remember, may well not arrive in time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,b****y useless, me thinks a letter to MBY, as YBW links to these peeps I believe.

To answer bit about ybw

Yes, we have an affiliate partnership with Compass to fulfil the ybw marine store and closely customer feedback on orders placed through ybw marine store. At the moment the number of complaints we are receiving is very low.

If you had placed that order via ybw I would put my commercial rottweiler on it Monday morning but suspect this is not the case?

not withstanding the fact that, yes you are affiliated, and I telephoned Compass24 how about having a go tomorrow morning to caroline in sales about this debacle
This is vitally important to me and I spend thousands every year with IPC, so your influence would be appreciated. Yours desparate CGN
PS I did pay a frigging extra £10 for 48 hours delivery Saturday before last all to no avail.

Cor all this recent activity with old threads has pushed my old thread back two pages. Sorry to drag up an old one but had to finish the sorry saga re the Comparse24 order.

Ordered on the Saturady paid £10 eatra for 24hr delivered to UK address, friend bringing goods out to Spain on the Monday week so should be no probs.
Called Tuesday where's the package, should have been there? Next day they tell me its in Enfield depot, (15 mins from delivery address) should be there Thursday.
Not there by Friday, leave message on their phone Sat please get it there Mon morning as my friend was leaving for Airport 12.30 Mon. Monday am they say will be there by 12am.

This stuff needed for surveyors inspection on Monday as I had told them all along. Needless to say they lied again. My friend arrives Monday without goods, Surveyor goes "oh dear oh dear you cant have your certificate now"

Phone my friends address Weds this week its STILL NOT THERE. Cancelled order demanded refund. There incompetence has delayed my certificate, plus I had so much bulls**t from them. Absolute shambles. CGN
