Looking for something to keep on the boat
We have a small rechargeable Worx jetwash, now at home. It's fairly gentle, cleans green off decks (and more recently algae off the plastic greenhouse). Not much use for cleaning patios or, probably, hull fouling.
What is itI've got one of these. Great for cleaning muddy anchor chain and anchor, shifting guano before it gets too hard and cleaning green crud off decks.
It'll suck water up from over the side, and as long as you rinse it through with some fresh afterwards it should come to no harm.
I started that thread and it produced some very helpful replies. My post above was copied directly from this recent thread...
Small pressure washer: recommendations please.
I imported mine from the UK...there isn’t a French distributor that I could findI started that thread and it produced some very helpful replies.
I would probably have bought the battery powered washer you recommended but I couldn't find one near me in Brittany.
I ended up buying a Parkside PHD 110 E1 from LIDL in Muzillac. It cost 49.90euros, is quite light and works well.
It doesn't have any suction pump, which was something I wanted, but it turned out that I was allowed to use the marina fresh water supply after all.
€51 ....in case you were wonderingI wanted it quickly, without having to pay import duty.
If hadn't been for that disastrous political decision of which we dare not speak in the YBW cloisters, I could have had one sent out to France.
It was a democratic decision by the nation , or us spoons drinkers.I wanted it quickly, without having to pay import duty.
