One of many, I know of at least four interested in buying Itama.

IIRC???? He did not, still visible in the Itama page.
Four? All drunk when you met them? Go ahead, name and shame, now you're making me curious!

Ref. my IIRC, if by still visible you mean IYS, of course it's still there - who else could they find? :ROFLMAO:
When I said "he parted ways with FG", I meant their former CEO, who left IYS to join SL even if in a much lower position - 'nuff said...
In fact, when you said their dealer was interested to take over the brand, I guessed he himself (more than IYS as a company) could have been the one who came up with such silly proposition.

Then again, glad to hear more about the queue of Itama fans anxious lo dump their money in the bin - if they do exist, that is!

Hence Itama despite courtiers has remained within the FG portfolio.
Courtiers? Courtiers?!? :ROFLMAO:
Do you mean yourself, PYB, and a dozen of other fanboys?
Christ, even your good self couldn't stand anymore what you always pretended is the best boat of the planet - while in real world it's just the most impractical - and eventually got rid of it!

Anyway, happy to be proved wrong.
My previous invitation to PYB to name names still stands also with you, of course.

Just because you do not perceive the value of something, it does not mean it does not have value.
Do you know the tale of the daughter who is given an old car to sell.... You should read it a few times.

Name in a forum,,,, Lol why should I.... One of them might as well be named Paolo as he could have been Giacomo.
There is no shame in buying a brand they think it has value while do not. Some said the same to N.Ferretti when they bought Riva in 1999.
Now it is the most valuable brand of all FG, with Louis Vuitton rumoured to have offered more then the sum the Chinese paid for 62% of FG.

IYS was never an Itama dealer, he was Ferretti best dealer after they went belly up in around 2011/12 and they like split and were reborn a year later.

Just came across this thread - A friend bought a new Fjord 41XL last year kept in Majorca but for various reasons I couldn't get out to play last year - maybe this summer. Would be interested in PowerYachtBlog and other experts view on it (if only so I can stroke my chin thoughtfully when I see it and and pretend I know what I am talking about). FWW he is very happy with the purchase so surprised it hasn't appeared here.
The Fjord and Pardo are currently the most successful in the modern Euro-looking walk-around cabin boats which apart having full length out-door space offer decent accommodation inside.
Are they the best definitely not, and the seakeeping is okay but not super.
Pardo is a bit better to the Fjord in both detailing and finishes and seakeeping.
I think the best of these more popular WA is the Solaris Power, very proven hull design by Acampora, and the detailing is super good, but I can understand that is traditional-modern looking might make a minimal style love prefer the Pardo and or Fjord.
If you like something more traditional I would also have a look at the Aprea Gozzo and Lancia Aprea.
There is some other interesting options, the Fiart would also be in the top of my list for example, and less known yard Domina CNT have a hull coming near to a Magnum copy with 24 degrees deadrise aft.
And if you like the super modern looking there is also Wally to think, although this one does give less accommodation to all of the above.
The sector is very competitive at the moment, and all seem to be doing well. Even the modern looking Italyure, is doing well, they sold forty plus of the 38, ten plus 35s which debuted in 2023 and have already sold three of 50, with the first which launched just before Christmas and still undergoing final testing.
If you want a WA you are spoiled for choice, as everyone seems to be interested in that cake, following the success of the Pardo 43 which since 2017 has sold in 500 units thus far.

All the nice boats mentioned by PYB are modern WA, bought mostly by charter companies for daily use.
WA are definetly interesting for rentals, but you loose a lot of volume internally.
They are not targeted for the private client.

Itama, XL Marine, Rizzardi and Riva are the only ones that propose a "modern" open boat but with standard internal volume that can be used also for cruising.
You might say they look old and nothing new. To me this is exactly their beauty.

The only modern feature that I would add is a sort of solid T Top, in replacement of the canvas biminis.
Riva is already proposing that on the 48 Dolceriva and 56 Rivale. But I am not convinced yet about the result...
At Cannes festival they told me that they are proposing on the Rivale a similar top as the Diable but with additional movable wings to let air enter the cockpit. Very interesting.
