Bengco Heaters

Has anyone any experience of Bengco Charcoal Heaters, good bad or indifferent?
How much heat do they give out? Are they easy to light? Do they make a mess or smell.

Gerry, I asked the same question during the first week of December and got a couple of very interesting replies which you could look up. I have since bought one but it is not yet installed. The booklet states the output as 2 kW using charcoal. It is nicely built and looks right for the job. I found the builders very helpful with my questions. Apparently it can be used while underway.

Not about their heaters, but I did ask Bengco to fabricate a mast step for me and they did a very nice, quick job.
