Hydraulically crimped is the way to go. Never solder then crimp.

Cut a good crimp through then you will see why soldering is not necessary.

You also need one hell of a lot of heat to solder really large diameter cable.

If you have a strong enough crimper to form a proper crimp, the solder is redundant. If you don't, the solder can't save it.
