Playing about practicing reefing down on Cardiff Bay was captured on camera by "Channel" of this parish.

Not as much wind as the sail area would suggest.

Looks like a lovely day, albeit a little cold!
Looking forward to getting back over to The Bay -

Cardiff Bay

Looks like fun! I have just been reading up on the CB area / facilities.

I am putting Windthief onto the water at Barry this summer (first time for me as new owner) and am almost certainly heading to Cardiff Bay with the family as a first time trip.

This will give us (hopefully) a fairly easy run first time out from Barry and a safe location upon arrival to go through some skills and drills. We are all new to ownership and sailing in general so that's the cunning plan as it stands.

Later on, and with more confidence under our belts I am planning trips during the summer holidays to Watchet, Tenby, Lundy and other sites in the BC area. Hoping to get a solid four weeks in with the family and get a feel for the area (and improve our skills) over the holidays.

All seems so far away whilst sitting in Kabul, Afghanistan!

cheers
Paul
