Well obviously I would because it is sat in the office, however...

That was all well and good when Gordon had steered the good ship UK Economy onto the rocks and things were quiet and having something nice to look at kept one going through the day.

Now it gets shifted into corners as we try to find space for our burgeoning work load and it has been suggested that the Azimut should move on. Fair enough, I think and perhaps I won't have to explain to clients that I don't actually own a full size one and that they are not funding a lavish lifestyle.

So my question to the esteemed forum is where does one offer such a model for sale? eBay, I know but any other ideas?

Mainland Europe, especially make sure you get it on Mondial Broker web site. However, the 68 is quite an old model now, and the "plus" is just a bit of a face lift to try and eek a couple more years of life out of it, so any buyer will be looking for big discount i'm afraid.

Contact that couple who are writing the azi 68 (I think that's their boat) cruise series in mby. Hugo will give you contact info. They love the boat so surely would love the model

Keep up at the back nick h :-)

Blimey, I really got the wrong end of the stick on that one didn't I! I thought the OP was a dealer, that "display model" meant it was their demo boat, and that the owner of the dealership was fed up of it being moved around to different corners of the marina, and told the sales team to get it sold at whatever price. I'll get my coat ...

Yeah, even with my poor ItalEnglish, I was also wondering what you understood, after reading your reply...
It's particularly the idea of a real AZ68 placed in SP2 office that got me thinking! :)

Hello Nick H actually the Azimut 68 Plus was named this way in its release in 1999. Plus was used for its extra spaces and modernity. The model was then later renamed as 68 Evolution in 2006 if I remember right. The Evolution name was used on all the later generation Azimut to uplift them. 39, 42, 46, 55, 62 and 68. The most different change you will see on the bigger models is on the windows in the owners full beam cabin which is a whole glassed peace replacing the four vertical windows the Plus had, and semi matt cherry instead of the glossy laquer so much in vague in the late nineties.
The 68 Evolution had other modification to the Plus like forward half eye shaped glass windows in the forward VIP cabin, and a different stern which lost the garage, moved the aft settee further aft and sides sweeping bulkheads going into the platform. As of 2006 Azimut delivered over 150 68s.... The model is still in production and still demanded as new 68 EVO.

All main sites are good to sell this boat (Yachtworld, Mondialbroker and boatshop24) compared with a competitive price. In my experience it is a very demanded model having sold both a 68 Plus and 68 Evolution in the past very easily. May be the real problem is the location as it seems there is little market for boats over 50ft in the UK.
