And anyway, I'm about 1/3 Irish, 1/8 Central European and have an American great great grandparent somewhere. I have even been on a sailing boat from time to time..........

.. and it is my considered opinion that SisterKen should apologise to the Nunnery for bringing its reputation into disrepute and also apologise and compensate Fray Bentos for any damage to their reputation by misuse of their product, they only use the meat that they have procured you know and any quality issues is really is nothing to do with them, the just fit the meat that they are given into the pies .. after mashing 'em round a bit to make it fit into the tins .. quite understandable ..

As I understand it there was nothing wrong with the meat. It was just supplied with the wrong taper to fit the pie casing. Any fule no that Fray Bentos have always had tapered pies.
