Anyone had their winches re-chromed recently?

I have a pair of Lewmar 16s that could do with the drums re-chroming. Anyone had some done of late and care to make a recommendation?
Have read some old threads on here and I’m aware how important it is to tell them to leave barrels ‘textured’.

Cheers Tradewinds, I’ve sent them an email.
A big plus for me was that they accepted the winch drums as they were - ie still greased up - they said not to bother cleaning them, they would do it. They will also arrange collection & dispatch (c£20 per trip). They were returned extremely well packaged. My contact was Paul Johnston.

Just to update. Was quoted £300 incl vat by Ashford Chroming to do two Lewmar 16 barrels. Postage to and from is not included in that so I think with insured courier possibly another £50 on top. I will ring around a bit more me thinks.

Hmmmm. Lot more than I paid.

Edit. Prior to Ashford I had a pair of L43s (& other bits and pieces) done by this company, AM Philpot.
Hard Chrome Plating - Hard Chromium Platers - Functional Chrome Platers.

Maybe worth a try.
