Anybody mending their sails?

My old Kemp Dacron Main has but cannibalised. Some friends made a riding sail and I've just made a sunshade.

I've quite a bit left including the headboard section and some corners with clews like this

Are they of any use to anyone?

No use to me personally as I have quit a few old sails but your mention of a riding sail caught my attention. My Dufour Classic 30 has quite shallow underwater sections and tends to sheer around a lot while at anchor or on a mooring and I think a riding sail might be the answer to my problem. Can you give me any tips as to their design?

Search for riding sails under contributor "Piota" on this forum. A great improvement on conventional arrangements.

We used Piota's design adapted for our boat. Send me a PM with a private email address if you want more details and a picture. It works very well, especially when we anchor where there is no tide (eg Baltic).
