antifoul bronze props, p-brackets, rudders, and stainless shafts

anyone have a real tried and tested method of protecting Bronze Props, P-Brackets, Rudders, and Stainless shafts from Barnacles etc?

The two established methods are lanolin based products (propguard, propshield or lanolin from the chemists), or spray on hard antifoul like Blakes "Mille".

Neither has worked very well for me, though maybe clinical preparation (sand to bare metal and chemical etch) will improve results.

I have found the only reliable way involves a mask and a scraper.

Has anyone tried an ultrasonic device? They are supposed to clean the hull and the rudders/props.??

i remember a lot of chat some years ago about these, quite expensive. and i guess didnt catch on.
