Anchor weight ( Chum )

I once read an article about shortening the scope by running a heavy weight (Chum) down the anchor chain . Does anybody have any details / know where I can get one made up ?

I used my old CQR . . . at 20 kg it was just about heavy enough to have some effect in winds below 25 kts. Had to find some use for it . . .

I use my old Broads mud weight, not often, but very effective when I needed it.
Fixed it to a large carbine hook so that it will clip easily over the chain; then it has its own line to recover it.
