I haven't hear of an Amel Kirk. The only Amel's I know of are the Maramu and Super Maramu 2000. These are 16m blue water cruising ketchs built by a company which takes pride in the thoughtful cruising details it designs into its boats.
You might find more information via the company web site: http://www.amel.fr, although the boat is not specifically mentioned there.
A rather old model from Amel, before they went into posh maramu.
I personally never sailed in them although a few friends have, the reputation is of a sound, although dated design, rather narrow beam (abt 3m) with limited space below, aft cabin uncomfy, no particular construction flaws (quite a few are currently cruising med caribb). As aesthetics are a subjective matter, a cheap opportunity to get an old style seaworthy 11m..
If you go to www.monbateau.com and run a search for kirk you have a few available
