The Skywalk was carried out by Alex Thomson Racing, in partnership with sponsors Hugo Boss and Mercedes-Benz. In total, 35 people were involved in the planning, co-ordination and execution of the stunt, including Alex Thomson Racing Operations Manager Ross Daniel, professional kite-surfer Susi Mai and kite-surfing coach Ray Kasper.

I wonder if he knew he would go that high? Bet when he got up there he wondered what it was going to be like getting down. Those kites are not really made as parachutes.

Did you notice not one person in this stunt was visibly wearing a buoyancy aid/lifejacket although Alex says "this is incredibly dangerous" - can see why it wouldn't be shot anywhere in the UK!

The kite surfers generally know how to spill wind from those kites. I assume he was in control right from the beginning to the end.

Hugo Boss suit material has a special self-inflating layer that only works when there are no cameras running.
