Hello
I want to remove the reefing handle that goes through the mast as I have positioned a new(Second Hand) gooseneck slightly lower and the old gooseneck is stopping the slugs moving down. The trouble is I just can not see how to do it. There is a circular piece of spring steel in a blind hole which needs to come out and release everything. Unfortunately it is hardened steel and I can not drill it out. I would like to dismantle the whole assembly but before I start with a hacksaw and angle grinder to remove it has anyone actually done this or recommend a not too destructive way to do it. The whole assembly looks original and in good condition and looks like a fit and forget system. I am open to any suggestions.
