Picture this .....
20 boats jockeying for start-line position ready for the Gun !!!! Now I'm talking boats 30ft and up, in a small area out of main channel area .....
Start gun is hoisted, and what the f--- is that ........ a sport powerboat zooms through with a 100m line out the back and a guy hanging of a Parachute ........
I do not jest ... and this was a Commercial rent for 10 mins jobbie !!!!! with a customer on the end of the line !!!!!
Now if it was a 'private' number, someone who was new to boating and had bought the gear for own use ..... then maybe you could understand the mistake .... but a guy who is licensed and supposedly trained in its correct use ??????
Woe betide if this happens again with him ... as the area is subject to strict rules etc. and he will lose his license next time. But in UK different rules, lack of apply ...... it doesn't bear thinking about
Imagine Sunsail or a OOD Sigma fleet at the start line in the Solent ... and this happens !!!!
