4.3 mercruiser temp issues

Morning.

I've had the buzzer keep going off on my boat and I've narrowed it down to tempature sensor. This has got me wondering wether the engine is running warm or it's just a faulty sensor. The temp gauge shows 80-85*c

It's a recently rebuilt 4.3 v6 mercruiser and waterpump has not long been changed

So what should the temp run at and if I order a new sensor and thermostat what one should I order?

I'm pretty sure ours sits at 80, can let you know for definite after the weekend.
